CORRUPTED
Lifting with the mind’s legs
Is incapable for some
Who lives in a fucked up reality,
Captured in perverse thoughts,
Neglecting to grow in mind
And draws strength from insecurities
Through the innocence of the young,
Taking advantage of a naive mind
Destroying her worth
Depriving her of purity
Taking away her safety of home
No longer having a place to be comforted,
Having her now seeking forgiveness
For a sin not committed by her.
By a father who should not have been,
A father.
Like a broken toy
Is left without a child to play,
Having to keep a grown secret
By the littlest of hands,
Her world is now off axis
Trying to tell her story through actions,
She becomes lost.
Unpredictable to acquaintances,
She’s confused with feelings
Showing everyone her secret
But telling no one.
Trying to forget,
Makes her starve for attention
So much more apparent.
Nerves build to tell her story to the only other,
Thinking that closure and rest
From this vicious ordeal
Will soon ease her tire,
She’s wrong.
Again she’s raped of her dignity,
Now certainly for her
There’s no one to hide her from her pains,
Now even more confused,
She cries
While she beats upon her heart
Making it hard enough
So she can’t feel her tears.
Needing to leave
But not wanting to go,
She counts her time by the second
Of years
To make her decision sure,
She’s gone.
Heart hardened by injustice,
Still a child
Forced to become a woman,
Now unsure
What love really is?
She begins to save herself,
By not saving herself.
Not letting anyone hurt her ever again,
Her aggression she keeps close to tongue,
Her bottled passion she keeps hidden
Trying not to spill.
She’s now free in body
Not caring too much in what’s needed to live
But thrives on living her life.
And just as from a script,
She’s founded upon another weakened by truths,
And beaten scars
Terribly wanting to release her beauty.
Chances are taken,
Torrent of feeling and questions reveal itself,
But the truth in this man is different?
She asks herself
And just for a short period
She’s opened,
Liberated,
Scared,
He made her forget.
Yet she can’t accept
Honesty
For it’s not often seen by her,
She leaves.
With questions unexplained,
And answers secret.
But also,
This time with something positive.
Warmly remembering
For once she shares herself,
Completely,
Without regret,
With a new perception,
And becoming a little more hopeful,
In HAPPY endings.
