Even after being vaccinated and keeping my mask on all the time, I'm a little leery of big crowds. Either way, I think the day is coming soon when I can finally go out and enjoy some travel.

'My wanderlust doesn't fade' totally agree! Always ready and willing to go to a destination unknown. :) It was so different living in the UK growing up where so many other countries were at your doorstep. Best of luck in the competition, this is such a wonderful entry. I love the visual. Reminded me of all those times in the airport. 🗺️✈️🏝️🧳🧭

I did a trip a year or so before the pandemic. It was interesting to see so many people going about their way to so many destinations. I ended having a great conversation for almost an hour as we waited for our flights. The visual of an empty airport gives me the inspiration to go out again.

I've been working for a while without having really had a vacation. We'll see how it goes.

Ohhh my, Walter... This is such a terrifically penned poem... Capturing such a sense of longing, you go and be and do, that which calls from within... You totally nailed the visual, it's perfect 👌🏻 .... I so long to be able to feel safe enough and have restrictions lifted enough to  to take advantage of that opportunity to travel like I once did.... You never known how fortuitous something is until it's been taken away from you....Excellent work, my dear poet 🙏🏻

I think many of us feel that way, wanting to be safe to really enjoy that time off. The empty airport seats always left me wondering of how many folks have passed through there on their way to endless destinations.
