Colours of courtroom
Black and White is
colour of court
but i can see so many colours
Leading
Objecting
&
Sustaining
between the cases.
The red hands cuffed
in the dock for trial for
acts undefined by exceptions.
Minor's yellow frills yelled
to show red
rained jam in her pink
as they were fringed by fear.
The wealthy purple purse
powered to bribe attorney
escaping criminal prosecution.
The sheriff in their
brown civil uniform
with loaded pistol
to guard proceedings.
The green property deal
awaiting decree of
its ownership.
But witness of morals
had invisible colourless tears.
Between black and white
colours of crime and justice sway
as judge pronounces his verses
either in black or white.
