There's a couple of things I like about it--
The topic--writing is an aid to memory, and creates a deeper engagement with the world. This can have good and bad effects.
The pattern of rhythms--there's an alternating rising and falling pattern to the lines.
I might edit it to make the rhythmic effect more pronounced.

Thank you for your useful comment.  This was a 3-minute write!  I think the last stanza is where the rhythm/ shape probably falters.  I'll look again when it isn't midnight.

I'm never quite sure what to think.  I'm sometimes afraid of strong emotions, because something within me can't differentiate between the strength of my feelings of euphoria, and despair.  I also think that the good ones can't last.  I also panic whenever I feel a bit sad or blah, because I know where that can end.  Probably best not to think too much.

it isn't real" = simplify perhaps and consider an alternative to "not writing" that doesn't depend on a negative eg. "Avoiding writing. Is that my way of denying what's happening."
