Covid-19
Wash your hands,
wear a mask,
stay apart.
Lockdown starts,
cases fall,
lockdown ends.
Live your life,
but there's no
going back.
wear a mask,
stay apart.
Lockdown starts,
cases fall,
lockdown ends.
Live your life,
but there's no
going back.

It's here to stay, regulations or no regulations. It's just going to have to be another illness that has to be managed, like flu and the other things we get vaccinated for. I work in schools and I think some of our restrictions are going to be permanent.

I enjoyed the form of this. It's direct and packs a punch.
Our governor just signed the mandate placing the decision in each school district whether or not they were to remain open or go remote. I see a mandatory vaccine in the future.

I don't know if they will go that far in this country, but the take-up definitely needs to improve. Plenty of people are refusing to take it for political reasons/ freedom/ human rights and so on. Fine, but I don't think they get to complain if they can't enter crowded stadiums, planes or countries that don't want the unvaccinated. Can't have it both ways.

What gets me about "that" attitude is that they more than likely never had polio, measles, mumps, rubella, small pox, tuberculosis, whooping cough and so forth because their parents cared enough to have them vaccinated, and their country cared enough to require vaccinations in schools to prevent the spread.
Most don't give a shit what they eat ( fast & processed food etc. ) but are worried about what's in a vaccine?
To each their own, but yeah. . .they have no right to complain.

Totally agree. I hope nobody comes along in a minute to harp on about free choice, microchips and 5G, because it's been done to death.
Vaccines have had more impact on world health than any other initiative. Polio for one was an absolutely terrible thing, that killed so many and left others (including my husband's aunt) permanently disabled. I'm a teacher, my husband is a care worker and we both have lung disease. There was never any question for us. My eldest daughter is looking forward to turning 16 next month so that she can be vaccinated too.
Too right about eating junk!

Like the incantatory, anthemic, cretic foot--
A great technique, which makes this real memorable.
Enjoyed!

I'm all for the vaccine and am glad to have been double jabbed, having had one covid contact scare from work but not been sick. I think covid will be what we learn to manage like flu.

Having reread this (was this really only 6 months ago?), I am still unabashed to accept vaccination. I had my third dose before Christmas and this surely helped me when at start of March I tested positive for covid and had to isolate 2 weeks (my workplace insists on 2 successive days of negative testing before going back) but I had no worse discomfort than a sore throat.
