Greed plays little part nowadays it seems in intimate discourse and pillow talk.

People are in a hurry to be temporal, surfacy, disingenuous....for a few drops of rain.

But, drinking the whole cup.....hot, warm, and then room temperature...eventually cold, maybe more creamer....set to the side while working or put in a refrigerator to enjoy chilled....every fascination.

The staggering spectrum of possibilities...and the preferences or circumstances or adaptions.....the cursed lost cup spilled, the one forgotten and much later science experiment found...

Cleaning cups...buying new ones....dropping favorites....the feel of one that has served you well...

That strangeness of a first sip...scalding hot or else bitter or sweet or full of grounds or else so absolutely perfect as to put off the meal or else end it....the reason for a meeting or else the pretext for one.

But, that last sip. The rush or lingering moment of it. That taste, the final volley. The lingering momentum or the last hurrah....

Sometimes....just holding to warm yourself as the last vestige of warmth transfers it convection of connection....there...left with a tip to the cosmic waitress who has delivered thousands of witnesses to the inner protection program....lipstick on the rim....a crumpled napkin.  The march to the door of forever after....experience and a motif of leaving something finished behind...done to whatever degree....fuzzy logic...and the buzz of caffeine.

I have a long standing love affair with coffee (this is one of several 'odes that I've written here on DUP) that I often refer to as being my longest relationship, to date...Always strong, confident in cause and effect, warm and endearing or cheeky and fanciful.... there, like clockwork. Never failing nor disappointing. Bringing me to life with a soothing touch or slamming me into shape with pure intensity. My dark bold superhero....  


I absolutely adore your headspace, RT...and I bask so fully and happily in the places they take me to, as well....

Sensual emotions that wrapped around me as I read leading to that exquisite ending. There is the touch of dreams such as Jung conjured in his philosophies. I felt this in my manhood like a burning sensation of need and want. You brought me there.
