Self Portrait
Deep purple played
lime, green and yellow flags were waved.
The gold of sunset, its arcade, cirise and pink behind the clouds,
Stadium rock that cobalt blue with velvet fingers on the strings.
Blurred mauve rift's, pyrotechnics floated like red mist,
They pitched the hits like cherry's picked,
pink flushed with heat, my vein's so pumped with fuchsia blood.
Luminescence so enjoyed
that lethal mixture had destroyed
Sapphire and the orange, the day-glow and the flashing lights,
The palette mix of my demise
on mauve silk. laid to rest,
the colour that I loved the best
