What Character Does A Man Posses
What character does a man posses
When world's end lies at his feet
The crumbling edifices of sanity tearing down the sky
Atop fields littered with pieces of humanity
And yet as the last vestiges of sense fade
The man is left alone
The character of the this man
Appalling, indistinguishable from status quo
What character does a man posses
As he watches his world crumble to dust
Rooted to the spot
Conscious of his stoic nature
A grand betrayal of all he ever knew
He shuns the world
Apart from it and amidst it
He turns his back and walks away
What character does a man posses
When he betrays himself
When world's end lies at his feet
The crumbling edifices of sanity tearing down the sky
Atop fields littered with pieces of humanity
And yet as the last vestiges of sense fade
The man is left alone
The character of the this man
Appalling, indistinguishable from status quo
What character does a man posses
As he watches his world crumble to dust
Rooted to the spot
Conscious of his stoic nature
A grand betrayal of all he ever knew
He shuns the world
Apart from it and amidst it
He turns his back and walks away
What character does a man posses
When he betrays himself
