Twilight
We kindle the realm of destiny
Through the embers of a dream
Naked as the southern wind
That whips the saline waves to sleep
The velvet ink of twilight
Ebbs and flows into the new dawn
Severing the day
In the guillotine of time
Captured by her distant words
I ruminate in silence
As the first kiss of Autumn
Breathes through the wilderness
Siphoning the love
That spills through my heart

I love this. Twilight is my favorite part of the day. Everything is new, there's silence in the air.... thoughts are clear.

Twilight is also my favourite time of day. I wrote this late in the evening, just as the light was fading.
