The carnival snails
Tell me of your thoughts
and when they move, leave a slimy track
playground vision the garden brought
a random path in just zigzags
Amongst the greenery, some low some high
we see a carnival pass, like painted slides
Elves and fairies had come overnight
painted gaudy designs, bold and bright
A Disneyland that you could ride
if magic, shrunk you to their size
If you were no higher than a pea
could you control these awesome beasts?
Not roll off due to their lightning speed,
the circus ride, knuckles white, shaking knees!
Vertical or upside down. perched on its back
and a saddle made of just Blu tack
Just chameleons dressed in stripes and whorls
each boy and girl brighten up a dull grey world
