On the leash

On the leash

Look on, as she with haughty air's
a feline knows but never cares
and hold the world at tendrils length
so self-assured and arrogance

As each mankind, the umbrella shades
to thrive in sun or wooded glade
 some blessed with pleasance graced
 others leave an unpleasant taste

To thrive when evil spells are stirred
the toxic potion, the growing turd
or a truffle, the king shavings cast about
par excellence, top table shout

The devil, painted attractive shades
fungus, the ones designed in hades
and as we forage in this world
discernment, the "whatever" coloured pearl

For are you drawn in that mustard dawn
goodness's evil or just the norm
dancing free, or just to squirm
identity yet to be confirmed?
