Yellow bamboo
Whatever greatness man achieved
to utilise what nature gives,
the scaffold that was there for all
for our past and future needs
As the bamboo yellow stands
in elegance, its green leaves just waft and bend
and as it whispers to all men,
if you cut me down I will be your friend
If you write of me, please be discreet
for you may prune my tender shoot,
without, your Chinese meal be incomplete
so strong, yet tender enough to eat
haiku
With such grace, stand tall
strength of Samurai, not wood
composite of good
to utilise what nature gives,
the scaffold that was there for all
for our past and future needs
As the bamboo yellow stands
in elegance, its green leaves just waft and bend
and as it whispers to all men,
if you cut me down I will be your friend
If you write of me, please be discreet
for you may prune my tender shoot,
without, your Chinese meal be incomplete
so strong, yet tender enough to eat
haiku
With such grace, stand tall
strength of Samurai, not wood
composite of good
