Humility

I cant afford the luxury of pride
Cos just as beautiful flowers blossom and dry
Humans too rises and dies
Beauty fades
Wealth disappears
Strength grows weak
Youthfulness fray
In aging decay
And everything we once cherished
Becomes unimportant
Except the thoughts of passing away
So what's here to brag about?
Where does pride surface?
A Wise Teacher once described the life of man as a passing shadow
And that I follow
Stay low
Innocuous
Humble and focussed
No rush
No force
Facing life as it comes
My daily bread and no more
And when Im done with my Earthly sojourn
I sleep in peace and never snore
