Give Me a Whisper..

Give me a Whisper, Give me a sigh.
You looked right at me and told me lies.
Have you no remorse? Do you like to see me cry?
Mislead, mistaken, Broken inside.
Too late now, to give it another try.
Yet I still hold you dear in my heart, and often wonder why?

Why Do I care at all, when I know you no longer do.
Such powerful emotions still hold true.
You captivated me from the start.
When I was down and oh so blue..
Showed me darkness in the abyss,
Captured my heart with one sweet, soft kiss.

Memories now are all that remain,
What once seemed pure, and true, has decayed.
Gave myself entirely, devoted, each and every day. �
Put all my faith in you, my trust you betrayed.
Brought tears to my eyes, you cheated for the last time.
It hurts my heart, but it�s time to walk away, this is goodbye.

I could see the pain you locked up inside.
Hidden beneath your surface, buried deep.
I�ll never forget the happiness you helped me feel.
My heart still bleeds for you, wounds so deep, they cannot seal.
Another heartache, another scar that must heal.
Let out a soft sigh, and peer out my window.
Asking the question, is this it though?

Life filled with despair, when will things change?
I�ve waited patiently for what seems like an eternity now.
It�s hard to will myself, someday I don�t really know how.
Eyes shift to the floor, my head in a bow,
How can you stay up when you�re nailed to the ground.
Desperation my companion keeps me bound.
Wound tightly, as if to never escape the grip.
Try to break free, to run away.
My chance never came. I don�t think it ever will.

I don�t know what I should do. I�m lost and helpless.
Filled completely with bitter emptiness.
But I�ll be fine, This is how I feel most of the time.
Customary traditions, elaborate displays of lies.
Eroding away slowly, like the turn of tides.
Another day goes by, dying to love. Living to die.
