FREEDOM FROM POLLYANNA HYPE
REALLY?
We've all heard from
the positive gurus:
"You can do whatever
you think you can do.
You have no limits.
Buy the books, tapes,
sign up for the seminar
and newsletter, You
have no limits. Only
believe you can and you can!"
These "positive thinking" tips
work until you get out of the
boat and start swimming and
reach YOUR limits. Potential
is about as useless as the
belief that the cure for
cancer is on Mars.
REMEMBER:
There are the limits
we place on ourselves
long before limits are
placed by reality.
I CAN is an empty promise.
I WILL is a comfortable lie.
I AM DOING is the
road to achievement.
This is why a poem will
never be written or completed
until the first word is written.
Santa Claus is not coming

Loved this! Limits are real and sometimes as hard a concrete. Doing what you love and beginning are key.

This is great. And that is the great challenge when we discover the reality of the limits, they are already held up in our psyche somewhere. I remember reading a quote from John C. Lilly, "beliefs are limits to be transcended." How do we undo these limits we have set for ourselves (knowingly or unknowingly)?
