My Shadow

Only the shadow is always everywhere
Strives to keep up with its loyalty,
and as an eternal friend
Lie down at my steps.

And to repeat my movements -
Her uncomplaining tribute,
Her fate, destiny,
An involuntarily chosen altar.

Wherever I went, wherever I was,
Looming somewhere in silence,
And flying like a black raven,
Draws an outline on the wall.

You do not know the palette,
Shades of black and gray,
Only the night in you is always hidden by
A moving dull canvas.

You only touch part of it
Me, sliding down,
But nevertheless, alas
I cannot have power over you

My dark companion, my traveler
A mute witness of dark days,
I'm sorry for your stingy fate
To be a shadow in the middle of darkness ...
