Poltergeist

Haunted,
a flickering vision
in the corner of my eye,
a gentle touch,
a loving caress,
a whisper of breath softly on neck.

the ghost of your love,
surrounding me,
warming me,
enveloping my soul,
giving me strength to live another day.

I breath you in,
the memory of you,
the gentleness of loving hands,
of velvet skin touching mine intertwined.

But most of all
I am haunted by mirth,
your wicked wit,
and the teasing gentleness of loving acceptance

The stars fade growing dim,
as your spirit's ghost traverses heaven.
So in my heart and soul a home is built
to stand against the storms
for the ghost of loving memory
