Stunning. Both poem and photo.
Vistas such as this are a remedy for anything unrested.
“and bruise melds to gold” is a particularly interesting image to me. Rather like a physical bruise that turns all sorts of colors before it heals and the mind and body feel better again. Lovely write. H🌷

This location means a lot to me, here in Tampa and I'm glad I got a nice photo of one of the many many early mornings where I've been lucky enough to witness sunrises this pretty. Yes, the duality of meaning with the wording of bruise to gold was more than just the color of the sunrise, in my head, too.... nicely understood. All healing is from dark to light...

I love this Lady Blue🌹 To me the last line is profound on many levels. Thinking of the darkness as violent abuse and dawn's bruising resolving to a bright new day when freed from abuse. Your metaphor is striking and spot on..I like the "punching through" as well. Bravissima goddess poet❤🌹🙏🐻💞🐰

It's one of my favorite sceneries on those pre-dawn runs. Watching the sky change colors is not only inspiring but it's intriguing.
