Balance
To journey out so far into the universe and reach the gods
A vision to converse with them
To find an emotional and rational equilibrium amidst the chaos
And realize the dreams I’ve dreamt
Here, deities of old are dressed in gold
They wonder how a mere mortal has crossed the expanse
And there with disembodied soul
I begin to reach a higher level of consciousness and trance
Amidst all the thunder and lightning
Every somatic neuron fires faster than the speed of light
Reaching for the wisdom of the ages
Trying to discern what’s left between wrong and right
Here I seek a fluid balance
Mind and heart unite in harmony and serenity
Enlightened in reverent silence
I pray and meditate trying to find my true identity
In a perfect sphere

It’s the ultimate goal and objective for many of us. The song that inspired this really told a story of the human experience.
