Re. thoughts on naivete and the wisdom of judgement
The awakening from naïveté can happen more than once in life even with seasoned people with good judgement. This senryu is a well honed poem that expresses how we truly want to trust but can’t always have faith no matter the good intentions. When you pack that much wisdom in such a short form you are a poet of immense talent.

Dearest John, Your kindness in your beautifully lovely comments aside, maybe it's about not seeing the forest for the trees. Being too close to something, allowing one to misunderstand, because of that farsighted obliviousness.... or something along those lines...Lol..I am extremely grateful for you, the generous list add and you taking time to really cheer me up via your boost of support.
All the best, John ✨

Dear BV,
I know right?! Ugh! Why do we never listen? Or see? I find I’ve an outstanding gift for dispensing pearls of wisdom to and for anyone seeking my immense talent for helping them organize their lives (that’s an outright fib). However, when it comes to my own life...I’m a hot mess (and not in the good sense of the word hot). I can’t make larger messes for myself. Oh well. This is a gem of a write. H🌷

It's the way it is with me too. Same thing, Honoria. I'm seemingly BRILLIANT at 'dishing it out', not so much, at having to take it.... It's vaguely hypocritical I know.. hahaha.. Yet not remotely on purpose. For myself, I think I'm slow to learn or I just have a mental 'black spot' and I can't see what's right in front of me, sometimes.... not always.... but periodically. I think I'm improving with age a little bit. Your comments made me smile, H. We should form a support group, maybe ??! (I tease) or not?? hahaha 😂 😂
I appreciate your list add and all your loveliness in the support you show me. 🙏🏻
Much love and respect,

Yes, we are two bottles of very fine wine only improving with age!
As for that support group, I’m in. We can call it the “Chicks for Chicks Cluckers. Where the advice is free and usually useless! “

Hope, adventure, enthusiasm can be blind. In contrast, awareness, suspicion may lean towards over thinking and inaction. A double edged sword.

You're very keen and astute, Leo. Those are all spot on and totally valid points. To me, boiling it down to trust. (Trust, the whopper!!) So that there's an opportunity to find a balance between blindness, over thinking and inaction.
Yes, aged to perfection and never tasting better.
heh... I had to throw that in there.... 😈
I really loved seeing you 🦋 I hope you've been well, my lovely friend 🙏🏻

I don't know why we fail to listen to that one voice, could have saved us a lot of pain and misery

Re: Re. thoughts on naivete and the wisdom of judgement
You got that right, 💯 💯
I think we become more aware of that voice's ability to protect or shield us, the older we get... just observations about myself...

I thank you for reading and taking the time to leave your thoughtful and kind comments,

Ah man. This could have been my theme for the larger part of my adult life. This resonates with me SO HARD. Why do we always ignore that voice of reason that says, "don't do this". In my case, I'm typically a glutton for punishment (not always in a good way). I know I have many more lessons to learn before I depart this life, but I hope that I have wised up enough, at this point anyway, to avoid some of those shitty pitfalls of my misspent 20's and (yikes) the dirty 30's. Great introspective piece that I am sure everyone and I mean everyone can identify with.

You nail it, perfectly. I too, hope that my lessons taught and instincts garnered @ 48 yrs are enough to recognize , I'm forever working on myself, trying to become the me I visualize rather than the one that I (sometimes) still feel was molded by others. At least I do now know my tendencies... Like you said, E, those damn pitfalls!! To me, that's close to half the battle 👍🏻
I thank you for reading and your extremely insightful comments. I think we're similar there, you and I.... lol...
Maybe we all are... 😉
I appreciate the list add and your shared introspection. It's actually helped me to recognize my own feelings and issues.
Well wishes and warmest regards

Barren wasteland? 😳 Awww....muffin. 🤗 And as for the visits...can’t visit all the time ‘cause if I did then it wouldn’t be special when I do, you see? My turn to be cheeky. 😉😂😋
You are most welcome. Have a good day Poetess. 🙂

It's when that purity is tarnished as fuck and it really only becomes apparent way after the fact, that Omg, you've been dragged through the filth and muck.... and hadn't even really noticed....
just one example of my past full of learning lessons.... I try to be as honesty as possible.... clear and concise... yet even that backfires, sometimes as well...
It's a Kobayashi Maru... sigh... not always...
sometimes.
It's not whining... it's observations... lmao... I poke fun at myself for levity and to avoid feeling the big stuff... at least today... 😂
Ty so much for sharing your invaluable thoughts and comments, dearest FeNyX. I am grateful for the list add, your deep delve and just to see you 🦋

Tough to Go through the viles of the world, in it's senses of the definition of Tense: "What has been & What will be" it is an ever double edging(ed) Sword that Falters the cause of Good Cause of Conduct. Because we are human's we wish to do the best for other people, but the reality is; they must do the best for themselves, so hence do we see our falter rather then the regard of the goodness which was bestowed. It is in "that-" the goodness of the hidden voices of the inner selves proclaim themselves winner, because they have seen something greater then our own cause "that of life". So We Must humble ourselves before the higher being which in ultimate/ulterior know better as seen from their Regards/Height. We In Our Wisdom but know, But the Formation is higher and AS SUCH/Such is greater to the greater cause/ GOOD. I Hope we understand that and disregard these small falls and Pitfalls that we might become better persons rather then them who get stuck in the little things of Life and Regard the Higher Cause Greater then the Cause of Ourselves;

Your the Kindest, I Realized in this brief, Short senryú Much Wisdom is contained of you; Wherefor which my insights and thoughts were simply a realization of my current state. Having Ever to Cope with naïveté, We Bring ourselves into a Place that is low to the Definition of Human Enjoyment; But it's Reality is that Which causes Cope the Phantom of THE Grace we embark extent into. So We Realize we fall into a pit because we have not seen that this pit is just another phantom of room that enhouses us into peace if we make home with it in time of peace: Like the abyss We Seem to think that darkness is disgrace or any sense of wallow in which we are to be described into; But in Reality like the Moon it speaks to us when we see fireflies roam around it's sphere of Sense. We Just need to Butterfly that which hurts and harbors us into the pain of disgrace because in all due reality; Life is beautiful and as such we Shall Commence it to the furtherance of life in the definition of our grace in due to all naïveté or any Sense of Foolish Pride come under the content of the falter fall of the DismissAl towards another in their Burden of Life. So i hope this Little Piece of understanding will Grasp the Core on Which we No Longer Seem to Cease the fall into Pit as something worth pitying over; But hold the Grasp of the Conduct which is beautified in the Reality of the Seen: Thus the Life given within. In all the Senses I Wish you a Bid of Good Days in the Days of Pitfall, and that they help you inasmuch as help was granted to me by the senryú that realizes itself of it's Core.

So few words, so much said. That damned inner-voice. I swear I wish it would just die sometimes. Leave me alone. It always proves right on, it always is truthful, is always trying to protect me. Being a stubborn, gonna do it my way, screw you inner-voice, self kind of person,I just sort of ignore it more often than not. And,I always say the next time, I'm going to listen. I'm finally learning to listen. I guess its never too late.
