Dream to Rise
If we don’t pause to look around life will just pass us by
Mother earth will just keep spinning round and round
But every so often we will see the amazing wonders it offers
I may find myself completely mesmerized and spellbound
My senses awaken when I lift my eyes for a dream to rise
Witnessing the sights that the universe bestows upon us all
We are one with creation in relation to the mysteries untold
Alert within our perceptions and sensations to heed the call
But I’m still learning to live in the moment to appreciate it all
The stars above are diamonds in the sky reflecting light
Like a lesson learned to earn these mementos until the end
Mesmerized and spellbound until the day my soul takes flight

Sometimes, it's hard to take a breather and just appreciate the moments as they come, without constantly looking ahead (or back as some are wanton to do; myself included). We miss so much though when we aren't focused on the here and now. Terrific read, Wally.

This is the classic essence of 'Stop to smell the roses' while they're still blooming, Wally. So much is missed in our blessed moments due to worry or stress. So much life does pass by when we forget to ground ourselves. I really enjoyed this one; totally relate.

I think on this digital age we have so much information available to us everything is about quantity vs quality.

Nature always takes the biscuit -- great write. Strange how hard it is to stop for just a mo' -- and appreciate what's in front of us, if we choose to see.
