Desert flower
Oh dear desert flower
Tell me all your secrets,
Where's your heaven in such a hell?
Where's your solace in such solitude?
Do you ever dream of the sea?
The open ocean and waves for miles,
The soft gentle breeze along the shore?
When your ocean is barren, cruel,
Unforgiving and unkind
What keeps you here?
You grow where others fail to be born
You nature yourself from stones and rocks
You remain beautiful even in the pits of fire
Tell me what's your secret
Where others flee,
You stand resolute.
Where others desert,
You've called a home.
What is it that you saw that we didn't?
What is it that you heard that we didn't?
To endure such a place
To face head on such a fate.
Yet still pull through
And grow ever more beautiful
Oh dear desert flower,
Tell me all your secrets
Tell me all your secrets,

Oh dear desert flower,
Tell me all your secrets
