He can't see what's right in front of him
always fearing the worst is yet to come
He knows, he really does know
that all that glitters isn't gold.

Across big blue on the other side of the pond
she's wearing her new dress
sitting alone she stares at her computer screen
lost in all that is estranged.

She sees his deep-set dark brown eyes
bearing down on her and mind fucks him for awhile, smiling to herself she plays with her pony tails
laced in pink satin ribbons, she adores him, he doesn't believe.

She doesn't understand the love of a good man,
but knows together they are a bright rainbow
that shines even at night, and when apart
they are sunshine and rain.

Her heart is racing as she opens a drawer
in her computer desk
taking a box of and crayons then closes the drawer and sits in her window seat.

Taking only red and blue out of the box she writes in circles (((  J & J ))) and dates it,
00/00/0000

A crescent moon is begging her to look
she does then starts to dream. Before the sunrise and after twilight she will remind him again;  Just because it works doesn't mean it ain't broken, and just because you can't see it doesn't mean It's not there...

In his room far away from all that he truly loves  He doesn't get to taste the
*Apple pie* He doesn't get to hold her hand

Bitter and suspicious he does what he will, never knowing the love of a good woman and takes a whore into his bed.

She closes her pc screen as tears roll
down her cheek, he cannot trust her
he doesn't know how...

Author's Note
This is about the pains and insecurities of internet affairs and how they can be as painful as in person crushes, love and so on... in this piece the woman loves what she believes is love, in the moment, never knowing love first hand, thus believing in love unconditionally and what that entails therein...
