It's amazing how often we ponder past events & people in our lives of another time. Take my example. I have been scanning a lot of my old photo prints lately, like when I used to follow a rock band, for various reasons but mainly because I can only share them digitally that way. When I looked at these shots, I thought, my God, that's 30 years ago now, what do they look like? what was the point? where did it get them/us? etc. But I remember thinking, well, it was ok at the time & that's all that matters really. Trying to beat one's self up about it with questions like, shoulda made more of that, is pointless! But we all do it, reflect during quieter moments when we're out walking the dog, etc.

Yes, exactly...my friend.
That reflecting back, is unavoidable I suppose as we all struggle to make sense out of certain times of our lives. I get what idea you explain, 100 %.
I really appreciate those thoughtful sentiments and I too, relate so much there.

It's just funny how the universe has introduced so many here on DU that have really been so impactful in the short time I've met them. They have left me wistfully yearning, yet also leave me having grown into a better soul / skin that I'm more comfortable in. I miss some, like family, as weird as that might sound ....

I agree with you, BP.... You nailed it.
It's all of the interactions, really (if you think about it) .... I know negative experiences leave marks too. However, those responsible for continual negative actions - in anyway, I just don't interact with.... or they eventually flutter away... I won't let anyone affect me like that anymore here. I enjoy DU and I refuse to participate in drama that I feel makes people feel small and bullied. I think positivity and being a true to myself is all I can do..... so I do that.
