Maybe I Should Have Curtseyed
She said I think
You’re a freaking raver
She said I’ll consider it
I bowed gently
She knew she’d won
She knew
Right there and then
From the bow gently
Respect me a river she said
One flowing something
A bit better than the rest
I apologize for my hunger
Otherwise I don’t mind
All our imperfections
Out there in the snow
Taunting us & such
She met my spirit half-way
Both pledging a bargain
Washed the rest away
Half-laughing, giving it away
The secret ingredients
The recipe, for success
Send a little my way
They say invisibly
You’re a freaking raver
She said I’ll consider it
I bowed gently
She knew she’d won
She knew
Right there and then
From the bow gently
Respect me a river she said
One flowing something
A bit better than the rest
I apologize for my hunger
Otherwise I don’t mind
All our imperfections
Out there in the snow
Taunting us & such
She met my spirit half-way
Both pledging a bargain
Washed the rest away
Half-laughing, giving it away
The secret ingredients
The recipe, for success
Send a little my way
They say invisibly
