I like to think
I'm the woman
God created me to be
Although it wasn't always so.
Throughout my life
I've stumbled and
I've fallen many times
Still I kept on trying
To better myself
To become the kind
Of person I always
Hoped I would become
With the help of God
I've come a long way
From where I've been
Seeking to be more like Him

Dear FM,
I think that’s the whole of it. We’re born with the ability to learn and morph as we experience things. With the power to change our response to situations over which we might not have the control.
And I agree whole heartedly, there is a guiding hand of this higher power, god, that gives us the inner spirit to do this. I think this is such a lovely poem defining human traits supported by heavenly strength. Fabulous write. H🌷
