LOST CONTROL

I vowed in a time
of solace and contemplation,
that I was over my obsession with
YOU.
It was a difficult decision
to make and wrestle with.
It's easy to make yourself
promises coated with
unrecognized lies to self.
THEN
I remembered your name,
I lost control.
I read your words,
I lost control.
THEN,
I saw your picture,
I lost control.
I saw your face in the cafe,
I lost control.
When I touched your hand,
I lost control.
THEN,
Then in the magnet pull
of a soft, unplanned kiss,
I lost control.
When our bodies touched
in a hug bringing us
closer than our skin,
I lost control.
THEN,
When you invited me to your home,
I lost control.
When I gently tasted the
sweetness of your silky garden,
I lost control.
THANK YOU
for helping me lose control.
I hope you are glad
I lost control.
