Image for the poem immortal

immortal

my ache calls you through the centuries
lover over eternities glare
misunderstood in the rain
I turn and look away, then you were gone

a private man, you thought I didn't love you
I cry lonely tears
fearing I will never see you again

immortal one are you mine?

I scour the heavens
my soul reaches out searching
I've looked through time and peered into so many faces
wondering were you gazing back at me

tender understanding
gentle epiphany
harsh reality
brutal assault

broken binds I'm all woman
are you my man?
