Broken Compass
How do you find someone?
Find a soul mate?
Because I thought she was the one
But I only loved the idea of her.
I loved the cracks in her face when she smiled
Yet, hated them when she frowned
That soul was occasionally lost
And when I found it, the magnetism was God
Turning on the compass
I went south and found atheism
No love lost when my eyes close to you
The sight and sense that nothing of true
Plasticine cast bent to what I need, for me
Edges curved to slide you out
Like spit and venom, spat poetry
No concern for the more of any
She was, yet she wasn't
And I find nothing
Hopeless
Lost
Nowhere but here
Wherever this is
Unsure what a soul is.
