Christmas Gift

T’was a week before Christmas.
It was that time of year,
When everyone needed,
Some small Christmas cheer.

My wife asked for a favour,
An unusual kind,
“Please deliver this present,
To our friend, would you mind?”

“She’s estranged from her husband,
Her folks far from home,
I’m afraid she’ll spend Christmas,
Miserable and alone.”

“I would give it myself,
But I have shopping to do,
Besides, it is best,
She gets it from you.”

A box beautifully wrapped,
With a bow: small and pink,
“She will really enjoy this,”
Wife said with a wink.

“Make sure she opens it,”
She said with a smile,
“I will be home late tonight,
So stay there awhile.”

“Damn!” I thought to myself,
Although normally quite nice,
Our friend had become bitter,
The queen of the ice.

To spend time with our friend,
Unfortunate, but true,
Was the very last thing,
I wanted to do.

But then I felt guilty
And sad for our friend,
I promised I’d help,
I said in the end.

T’was the week before Christmas,
I arrived at her house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse.

I knocked on the door,
There was no response,
Now I was worried,
Found spare key at once,

I found her crying in bed,
A sad, sorry affair,
I helped dry her tears,
And brush out her hair,

She had a long shower,
We then watched TV,
She cheered up a little,
I was really relieved.

I said: “hey by the way,
To cheer you up too,
My wife and I have,
A small present for you.”

At last a small smile,
She ripped open the box,
But what was inside,
Gave me quite a shock.

It was full of sex toys,
But what was most risqué,
A huge black dildo,
Wrapped in lingerie.

Our friend laughed aloud,
“Your wife is the best!”
Hey! There’s a note here,
Let’s read what it says.”

“To my closest friend,
I’m sorry you feel blue,
Hope toys cheer you up,
And give pleasure to you.”

Then she read the next part,
With a twinkle in her eyes,
And a keen interest,
She could not disguise.

“And I offer you my husband,
To help with your toys,
You can have him all night,
Merry Christmas enjoy!”
