Women

Some men have a sister. Some men have a brother.
Some men would love to marry each other.  
 
Some men like winter. Some men like fall.  
This poem isn’t about women at all.  
 
Instead, I would like for you to wait and see,  
both Obama and McCain’s plan for our energy.  
 
Though this topic may seem like a giant bore,  
you’ll find out it’s fun like McCain drilling offshore.  
 
“By the end of my term this will be imposed,"  
however Senator Obama would like it to be closed.  
 
Not to crinkle your plan like aluminum foil,  
but “experts say it will take years for offshore drilling to produce significant oil.”  
 
So look at the science and then you will see,  
Severin Borenstein directs the energy center at UC Berkeley.  
 
Though McCain was tempting, Obama knew what to do,  
he said, “last month Senator McCain raised more than a million dollars from, guess who?”  
 
Obama was prepared because he knew the negatives,  
McCain had raised that money from oil and gas executives.  
 
But McCain knows how to get money and enough food for dinner,  
he even said that “we know clean coal is a (massive) winner.”  
 
However, compromise was in the eyes of the Harvard law man,  
“Obama said he’d be willing to support limited offshore drilling if that’s what it takes to achieve the other elements of his plan.”  
 
So though we may see separation between the two men,  
Obama and McCain both hated Trump and agreed once again.
