Beware of letters addressed to "friend".
They don't know you from Adam's
off ox...
but they will want something… your time…
your money …
your heart…
your Honey…
all of the above
Rest assured, "friend"...it's a sneaky word…
a Weasely Word…
when it heads up a missive…
a teasely word…
Meant to draw your attention…
away from everthing else…
I can't think...I can't write...
out the window the poetry goes…
I can't even spell…
can't scratch my knows
Darned machine is doing it for me...taking away my powers…
Taking away my word play…
it's been doing it for hours
And I just now noticed...this thief of Time...and my poetic energies.
