Great, and so true.

I particularly liked the middle paragraph about the joy of having a coffee.  For me, that is what life is about. Better a coffee with a friend than gallons of Champagne with strangers.

Thank you very much, Lozzamus, for your kind comment. I love tea and coffee, especially when they are with a dear friend of a very mild character like you. I lack such friends nowadays as l am so much involved in poetry.

A few questions about these lines:

What do you mean when you speak of "vaunting" life that we control.  I know what dictionaries say  "to vaunt" means.  But I want to make sure I know what YOU mean in this case, especially if "we" are "small".

Who belongs to the "we" that's the subject of the verb "vaunt"?

Is there a reason why "we" shouldn't vaunt life? What, if anything, would be wrong in doing so?

And a few about these:

"Am l much better than this man
whose field and crops are his prized crown?"

Why are you asking this question?

And more importantly,  why don't you answer it?

1- Why should we brag or boast that we control life if we are too small and controlling nothing?
2- we: people in general
3- Yes, there is. The reason is because we are too small.
4- l am asking this question to indicate l am not better than simple people.

But you don't say that "we" control nothing.  Your syntax makes you say that there is a life that "we" do indeed control.

Nor have you shown, let alone said,  that the enjoyment of a cup of coffee is the main joy in life.  And uless you do,  your question about why "we" should strive for orher things is confusing, presumtuous, question-begging,  and unanswerd.
