Ghostly shadows
Waltzing in the dark
In an abandoned garden
Where are the stone lions
Where silhouettes melt
A castle of dreams in a purple sky
Where the moonlight pours
Through the lace of the foliage
Where in the mirror of the pond
The sad swan froze
Through gloomy halls
Captivated by the moon
Two ghostly shadows
Glide slowly through the darkness
Silently moving away
Merge into one
Their light movements
Can't be heard in midnight silence
Not a sound, not a soul
On marble steps
Diamond dew
The star canopy shimmers
We circle slowly
Captivated by the moment
Dancing in the dark
Barely touching the floor
Through the twilight of the ages
Through the field of scarlet roses
Over time and death
Elusive haze
Above the plume of clouds
Over an ocean of stars
Waltzing in the dark
Forever inseparable
In an abandoned garden
Where are the stone lions
Where silhouettes melt
A castle of dreams in a purple sky
Where the moonlight pours
Through the lace of the foliage
Where in the mirror of the pond
The sad swan froze
Through gloomy halls
Captivated by the moon

Hi arortiz73, very interesting - I will definitely take a look at yours. :) A bit of a different one for me but it reflects my recent melancholy mood.

This piece ,make us think of Vampire Diaries or Underworld, forbidden love meeting in a secretive graveyard among the tombstone only to ascend and show there true affection. Tight

I had a similar vibe to I_Is_Me. It seems a rather mystical tour, subtle emotions throughout, darkly romantic. It has a lovely array of details. 💖🙏🏻

I do love your description. A mystical tour and darkly romantic is definitely representative of my feeling writing. Feeling darker with the approach of Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. 💖

Dear Kristina, this is a captivating, haunting love story. Your rich imagery really transported me there. Two of my favorite passages,
"Where the moonlight pours
Through the lace of the foliage"
"Diamond dew
The star canopy shimmers"
C'est tres romantique
Bravissima bella BD❣❣

Dear K,
I love the visual imagery I’ve been able to create in my mind through this poem. While dark it’s beautiful. Your descriptions are wonderful. It’s Victorian and romantic to me and this makes me feel I was born in the wrong era. Really lovely piece. H🌷

Thanks Honoria, I am really glad you found the imagery compelling, dark and beautiful. I like that you see the older era Victorian romantic feel and I am honored by your RL entry. 💖

Spectacular poem of eternal love and frolic. Really enjoyed this. Excellent line using, "...lace of the foliage...."
While traveling through the darkness, I stumble upon your garden. In silence, watching from the thicket, I sit upon a fallen, rotting log. Observing your waltz in an ethereal translucent ballroom gown. Your movements as flowing as the wind itself. This vision begins to melt the edges of my frozen heart, my pale ashen morbid skin gets a touch of hue reserved for the living. Ah, but you are taken and forbidden, my heart re-freezes and you feel the frigid breeze as I depart.
