Goodnight My Little Bed Bug

As I lay you down next to me you snuggle in the blankets and slumber peacefully while snoring quietly as I stroke your head while whispering to you I’m here for you and won’t ever let you go.
Now rest your head easy and please don’t worry about about the pain that you were feeling earlier.
Shhh don’t you cry,
don’t you shed a tear,
have no fear for you will soon be in a better place.
But no more worries just rest your head and go to sleep and soon it’ll all be over.

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep and tomorrow it will all go away

Sleep, and rest easy my little bed bug.

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep and tomorrow it will all go away

Sleep, and rest easy my little bed bug.

As you lay here next to me we sleep together and dream about those times we shared up in the mountains as we snuggled by the fireplace under a warm fluffy blanket or those moments when we’d bask under the sun at the beach and reminisce of the smell of salt water in the air.
Reminiscing and holding on to those memories like a photograph that I‘ll forever be thankful for;
As I’m dreaming here with you I feel more close to you right now.
So close I feel like I’m floating away with you and want to fly away with you but you tell me to stay so I try holding onto you in order to keep you from leaving, but you tell me it’s time for you to go even though you’re scared so I kiss you goodbye and I wipe my tears away and tell you goodnight.

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep my little bed bug

Sleep, sleep, sleep and tomorrow it will all go away

Sleep, and rest easy my little bed bug.

Author's Note
This is in dedication to my dog Max who passed away last month on August 26 so I didn’t want to make a tribute to him at first since I’m still coping with a bunch of other stuff but I figured might as well open up my heart about this.
Please me know what you think about this. ~ Ms Jackson
