Autumn Dreams
lovely red
maple,
ochre, and
pine-green
dipped trees
set the stage
& backdrop
of my favorite
scenes
the leaves
that
are falling,
crinkling
beneath my feet
bring back beautiful
memories
of the season,
just for me
sweetly spiced
orange and
apple
ciders
fill the air
&
all the while,
smoky hazes
from bonfires and
cinnamon-sugar
kisses
dream of
drifting into
one of those
starry nights
and waking up
to a remarkably
divine
autumn
morning
