It's that same admiration that keeps many of us going, even through times when we struggle to write, we're constantly reminded these greats probably had it worse and now they're immortalized by their works.

Yes. Francophone that I am I go with Molière of course. ''Classier'' in the sense of Classique. Different eras as in the times of Shakespeare English was not the language of the ruling class I suppose, (or not the same as the ordinary people, which he targeted) latin still occupying a huge place.
