Happy Mabon :)
I give this quietly
With socked feet
And caved forward shoulders
Bent over a soot-stained fireplace
That bristles to life at my word
A basket of flowers that lived through hard storms
Rash-red leaves
Vodka for warmth
Please, body of mine
Allow what is good inside
Easily for longevity
See, my racing mind,
To it that I think
Thoughts deep on the rind
Of joy-saturated fruit
Liberated from insects
And slippery rich in fertile dew
That I may live the next year with as many hands as I desire to hold
And that I regard my own
With the utmost song
May every soul I know stay well and strong
And the land that grew us carry on
An impassioned swell of healing and growth
With socked feet
And caved forward shoulders
Bent over a soot-stained fireplace
That bristles to life at my word
A basket of flowers that lived through hard storms
Rash-red leaves
Vodka for warmth
Please, body of mine
Allow what is good inside
Easily for longevity
See, my racing mind,
To it that I think
Thoughts deep on the rind
Of joy-saturated fruit
Liberated from insects
And slippery rich in fertile dew
That I may live the next year with as many hands as I desire to hold
And that I regard my own
With the utmost song
May every soul I know stay well and strong
And the land that grew us carry on
An impassioned swell of healing and growth
