The Poisoned Breeze
originally written 12-29-1990
fictitious influences reawaken hidden dreams
while certain overtures produce their silent schemes
guillotines beheading righteous fanatical queers
history forgotten, scribes dare not volunteer
beneficial axioms discredit accusations
while fabricating morons smother few investigations
omnipotent laws bequeath fortunes of rapport
fornicating with the decrees of the mother whore
as the table turns upon the holy tribe
shivering tongues expel the truth about the human bribe
finally they shudder, swiftly falling to their knees
praying that they'll escape... from the poisoned breeze
stumbling over one another, the hasten to the door
crying out to sentries, whose pleas THEY did ignore
"Idealistic Jesters... You Fools" the sentries state
"You should have known that what you've done would soon retaliate!"
"Let us in, forgive us!" but the sentries ignored THEM now
as Passersby looked and laughed and made their private vow
"To honer, love and protect the Earth and all it's children,
to preserve that which we can, and to restore to it's original condition!"
When the years have bathed the Earth in full recuperation
Mankind with stretch back out from nation to nation
they'll drink untainted water, harvest honey from the bees
& never worry about breathing in... the tainted poisoned breeze.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately... lot's of health issues taking up most of my time lately. Here's an older one... Somehow, this seemed appropriate right about now. It pretty much has been for quite a while now actually! :-(

LOL Actually, that's meant in a metaphorical way... I think what I meant by that was all the handshaking, sealing deals behind those certain closed doors. You know, Big Business, Governmental, etc. I originally wrote it as a lyric for, like, a hard rock or a metal song, and I never put music to it, because as time passed, I realized that I preferred it as a spoken piece! Thanks for the laugh, though, I needed that! So many problems with both my health and life in general! :-)
