Great creative write. I am a pro 2nd Amendment American and I do carry. However not all of us misuse our right. The Amendment was origionated to allow us to protect ourselves from a tyrant government. I would only ever use mine for self defense in a life or death situation and I do have extensive training. I feel it comes down common sense and those who chose to carry.

Unfortunately, to my thinking, the 2nd amendment is only relevant to the state of firearms in the 18th century when one couldn't spray hundreds of rounds in less than a minute.
The 2nd is way overdue for some serious tweaking to bring it in line with contemporary death technology. But what do I know? I'm 68 and never fired a real gun except for one session of can shooting with a friend's 18th century Kentucky Long Rifle reproduction back around '76.
So it goes.
