Confessions of the Heart
Confessions of the Heart
Forgive me, Self
For I have sinned
Once again
I vowed I'd listen
To the voice inside
To stay away and from him to hide
Knowing well enough
He'd love me for the night
And make my heart melt without a fight
Forgive me, Self
For I have sinned
Once again
He made me swear
To wait for him not
But I was too torn and destraught
With tears in my eyes
I begged and pleaded
That he'd fight for us not leaving defeated
Forgive me, Self
For I have sinned
Once again
I chose not to give up
The youthful love he sparked
That night he left my heart marked
Looking back some three years prior
I wish our love came before our desire
Since now he's my heart's sire
Now I sit and wait for another to become its buyer
Forgive me, Self
For I have sinned
Once again...
It's okay my child
You were right to come to be reconciled
