Uncertainty
Where are we going
What lies ahead
We can't take back
The things that were said
Our perceptions have blurred
Our interests have waned
One long last look at you
On a slowly departing train
As we grow older
One of two choices we'll make
To fight the oncoming tide
Or drown in its wake
As for me I'm still riding
The top of the fence
The walk is a tense one
Filled with suspense
All I know is I love you
And that will never change
Please take my hand
And relieve this aching pain
What lies ahead
We can't take back
The things that were said
Our perceptions have blurred
Our interests have waned
One long last look at you
On a slowly departing train
As we grow older
One of two choices we'll make
To fight the oncoming tide
Or drown in its wake
As for me I'm still riding
The top of the fence
The walk is a tense one
Filled with suspense
All I know is I love you
And that will never change
Please take my hand
And relieve this aching pain
