Phone Books
I’m traveling far away
Where there are still phone books?
To look up names of strangers
Who don’t know me
But will like my looks
Maybe, I will go by ship
Wear a suit when I’m on deck
People will find me interesting
At least for a moment
Before the ship wrecks
But, I am always back before I leave
Traveling in full circles
At the speed of doubt
And sound of silent shouts
How far to new beginnings?
To first impressions
Without confessions
I miss the eyes of strangers
And traveling through old phone books
Far away from here
Far away from me
Where there are still phone books?
To look up names of strangers
Who don’t know me
But will like my looks
Maybe, I will go by ship
Wear a suit when I’m on deck
People will find me interesting
At least for a moment
Before the ship wrecks
But, I am always back before I leave
Traveling in full circles
At the speed of doubt
And sound of silent shouts
How far to new beginnings?
To first impressions
Without confessions
I miss the eyes of strangers
And traveling through old phone books
Far away from here
Far away from me
