Strangers
I always hover
On the edge
Never trusting you,
Not all the way,
I’ll never let go
Of the railing.
It’s been years
Of learning
Of constantly yearning
To find another mind
To wed.
It’s not yours.
And maybe that
Mind doesn't exist
Maybe
We all file through the tunnel alone
In this giant world.
I can freely give you my body
But I remain detached.
One of our minds is incomplete
It’s probably mine…..
I don’t think you
Recognize the calamity
On the edge
Never trusting you,
Not all the way,
I’ll never let go
Of the railing.
It’s been years
Of learning
Of constantly yearning
To find another mind
To wed.
It’s not yours.
And maybe that
Mind doesn't exist
Maybe
We all file through the tunnel alone
In this giant world.
I can freely give you my body
But I remain detached.
One of our minds is incomplete
It’s probably mine…..
I don’t think you
Recognize the calamity
