Shattered windows
My demons unforgiving,
The angels cower down.
My thoughts are always spinning,
They pull me to the ground.
My heart just wants to love,
My mind still wants me dead.
I have to rise above
Before I disappear instead.
It seems I am the enemy,
Coexisting with the hero.
My own body is against me,
I peer through shattered windows.
Regret in ever crevice,
Someone help me with the glass?
This life of mine is precious,
Don’t mix the present with the past.
The angels cower down.
My thoughts are always spinning,
They pull me to the ground.
My heart just wants to love,
My mind still wants me dead.
I have to rise above
Before I disappear instead.
It seems I am the enemy,
Coexisting with the hero.
My own body is against me,
I peer through shattered windows.
Regret in ever crevice,
Someone help me with the glass?
This life of mine is precious,
Don’t mix the present with the past.
