The Darkness has come again

 
The darkness has come again
Tho this time it’s not so daunting
I’ve become familiar with it
There’s an eerie familiarity in its embrace
It’s surrounded me for so long
Not always surrounding me but always just around the corner
Preying and waiting for it’s moment to envelop my mind and soul once more
I’ve fought this battle for so long
Thinking I’ve won thinking I’m done
Only to have the darkness surround me again
Well I’m tired of fighting so now I let it swallow me in it’s bitter sweet embrace
The world is dark right now but I know I’ll see the light soon enough
So for now I sit encased in this darkness
Accepting it’s cold embrace
My mind is a dangerous place a jungle of pain
Thankfully I’m no stranger to the jungle in front of me and now I have my map to navigate
The darkness has come again
But this time I’m prepared
