‘cause sugar-daddy’s late
parking-ticket glovebox toss
posh next stop
agent to stars of rock
goth-goddess anticipators
cardio-grand sauté
Southern-hemispheric tingles
sweaty palmed entrance
kind, dark eyes invite
calm permeates
under tenderizing gaze
avant-garde beauty’s quintessence
on swivel-throne seated
raven-hair cascades
on white shoulders rests
pincushion princess
seductively pierced
alabaster skin
tattooed masterpieces
on epidermal canvas displayed
profound cleavage divides
ample, black leather-sheathed breasts
obsidian-hued lips
in a happy-to-see-you-for-you smile
a midday sunrise
a-typical passion ignites
naked souls converse
cosmically connected
entwined minds
cheek-to-cheek dancing
under-ten-minute tango
courage-words suggest,
“you, me, coffee, maybe lunch?”
risk-averse bob-logic
stifles shall-we-dance desires
could-have-been list grows
same ‘ole script followed
destiny’s self-loathing captain
in safe harbor
drops immutable anchor
moors in moderation-in-all-things waters
where sensuality and passion
are especially rationed

Author's Note
For a time, during my college years, I worked as a courier delivering payroll to San Francisco Bay Area businesses. San Francisco was the favorite of my assigned routes. I am perpetually fascinated with that marvelous city. This poem is about one exceptional individual I met along the way. I hope you enjoy the video. it maybe be a tad overdone and perhaps silly but I had an absolute blast constructing the PowerPoint. What a trip! I loved the vibe, the music background, the graphics. Total score. Reading it without the video I created a whole bunch of city vignettes in my minds eye of people and sites. Watching the video, it was a whole different rhythm and meter. Awesome piece. H🌷
