Prismatic Heart (A Duet with InDreamz)
Clouds start to form from above
blocking out my sunny days
Oh why did the dark skies
have to come and kill my good vibes?
Everything seemed so perfect
flowers bloomed, birds were chirping;
now it has turned quite the opposite
Thunderous roars shake me to the core
reminding me of how fragile I really am
Years of bullying from people I trusted
come rushing back in the form of fear
I once was able to block that all out,
but now the rain comes pouring down
penetrating my aura like a poison,
whispering in my ear of how I'll never be enough
I'm not handsome, I'm not smart
Wish I could live in a perfect world of vanity
where the only problems are silly trickles
Instead I have experienced pain
it embedded into my brain
Oh how I wish this storm would pass
Suddenly I hear a voice of encouragement
light touch of the shoulder
telling me things I need to hear the most
This shall pass too, my dear
Anchor belief in Yourself
and don't let the lightning of hatred
strike you down
or tempest of wrath rip you apart
for these are the tools of the miserable
and the spiritually dead
to pull you down and leave you a wreck
Do not dwell on the days bygone,
or let the parasitic past prey on
Please do not give in to your fear
for you are stronger than
all the afflictions you can bear,
and sharper than the harsh words
hailed at you
You are a fighter, a survivor
who was tempered by life's
rough weather
Inferno of hatred couldn't set you ablaze,
frigidity of cruelty couldn't leave you fazed
Your resilience has shined
through and through
The sun will show up again, I promise,
once the sky is clear
Until then
Dance in the rain,
Play with the hurricane,
Tame the storm by its horns,
command its fury
to disperse the gloomy clouds
Once again a rainbow will adorn
the heavens,
by the light of your soul
radiating through
your prismatic heart
blocking out my sunny days
Oh why did the dark skies
have to come and kill my good vibes?
Everything seemed so perfect
flowers bloomed, birds were chirping;
now it has turned quite the opposite
