Memoirs of Ruin
I used to drink my happiness one bottle at a time
Years of soothing a darker pain has only brought on more anguish
I see silhouettes everywhere
Pieces of me left here and there
I die a little everyday with a smile to persuade the stain
That markes my soul with the stench of death
I have drank away oceans of pain
Only to drown in my own incompetence
The death bed to greet me warm
I force another drink as I shy away and say goodbye
Years of soothing a darker pain has only brought on more anguish
I see silhouettes everywhere
Pieces of me left here and there
I die a little everyday with a smile to persuade the stain
That markes my soul with the stench of death
I have drank away oceans of pain
Only to drown in my own incompetence
The death bed to greet me warm
I force another drink as I shy away and say goodbye
