The battle rages inside me
A tug of war
Back and forth for my soul
The righteous path is clearly
Laid out before me
Yet is deceptively
Hard to follow
A life saving antidote
Impossible to swallow
Lord, even though I may stray
Help me keep my eyes on the path
And in my heart please stay
